About this doctor Dr. Elena Maescu?

For many years, I worked as an ambulance doctor, providing senior-level pre-hospital emergency care. This experience continues to be the foundation of my work today.

My career began in Romania, where I graduated from the Victor Babes University in Timisoara and specialised as a General Practitioner. Later, I worked in the United Kingdom in a private surgical hospital, where I am registered with the GMC. In 2024, I transferred to the County Medical Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (M.A.I.), where I work as a military doctor.

I combine precision with compassion. I apply this same approach to all aspects of my work, from A&E to my current role within the M.A.I. My focus there is on health promotion, disease prevention and providing high-quality medical care for both service personnel and civilians. I bring this breadth of experience to my work with SeeMe-nopause, where I provide women with reliable and considerate guidance.

My approach to care

Care should be accessible, wherever you are. Over the past few years, I've seen just how crucial it is for women to have access to fast, reliable advice, particularly during life stages when their bodies are changing.

Online consultations make this possible. I have been actively working with telemedicine since 2018. It allows me to support women efficiently and reliably through carefully designed questionnaires and medical evaluations, without long waiting times. This combination of knowledge, experience and technology makes healthcare faster and more personal.

I believe that listening and explaining are just as important as providing treatment. As a doctor, I want women to understand what is happening in their bodies, so they can feel empowered to take action.

My role at SeeMe-nopause

At SeeMe-nopause, I draw on my A&E experience to ensure medical safety and the highest quality of care. I review patient files and medical queries, offering women considerate and responsible support throughout their entire journey.

I also contribute to developing reliable content on health, hormones and lifestyle. My goal is to make medical information accessible and easy to understand, so that women feel supported – whether they are in the middle of menopause or simply want to take better care of themselves.

I see SeeMe-nopause as a modern approach to healthcare: fast, safe and personal.

A holistic approach to women's healthcare

Women often feel that their health concerns are not taken seriously. This can be particularly distressing during menopause or other times of hormonal change. As a doctor, I know how important it is to look beyond the immediate symptom to consider lifestyle, emotional well-being, medical history and the changes the body is undergoing.

At SeeMe-nopause, we combine medical expertise with personal attention. Through online questionnaires, consultations and reliable information, I can support women more quickly, without waiting lists or unnecessary hurdles.

My support focuses not only on physical symptoms, but also on understanding hormonal fluctuations, preventing related health risks and enhancing emotional well-being. This creates a complete, integrated form of care that supports women through every stage of menopause.

I believe that knowledge only has value when it genuinely helps women.
