What is Veoza?

Veoza is a medication specifically designed to treat moderate to severe hot flushes. It contains the active ingredient fezolinetant. The medication works by blocking a specific signal in the brain that contributes to the occurrence of hot flushes and night sweats. Veoza is hormone-free and is intended for women for whom hormone replacement therapy is either unsuitable or not desired. This medication is available only with a prescription and requires monitoring of your liver function.

Do not use Veoza if you:

Are hypersensitive to fezolinetant or any of the other ingredients
Have severe liver problems
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Are taking medications that affect the action of fezolinetant, such as certain antifungal drugs (e.g., itraconazole) or tuberculosis medications (e.g., rifampicin)

Inform the prescribing doctor if you are taking any other medications.

Possible side effects of Veoza

Common (affecting 1 in 10 to 1 in 100 users):

Elevated liver enzyme levels in the blood

Uncommon (affecting 1 in 100 to 1 in 1,000 users):

Nausea
Diarrhoea
Sleep disturbances

Rare (affecting fewer than 1 in 1,000 users):

Skin rash
