Q: What is a consultation and how does it work?

During the consultation, you will complete a comprehensive medical questionnaire. You can also state your preferred type of treatment. Based on your answers, a doctor will prepare a treatment plan for you within 48 hours. If you approve this plan, a pharmacy will dispatch the products to your home within 3 days.

Q: How long will it take to receive my order?

Our partner pharmacies will dispatch your order within 3 days. You can then typically start your treatment straight away.

Q: Are there delivery charges?

For prescription medicines, delivery is included in the price. For over-the-counter products, there is a delivery charge of £ 4.21. We offer free delivery on orders over £4 0. If your order includes both, delivery is free.

Q: Can I change, cancel or return my order?

Unfortunately, once an order has been placed, it cannot be changed . If you have ordered the wrong product, or wish to change or cancel your order, please contact our customer service team immediately. Over-the-counter products can only be cancelled if they have not yet been prepared or dispatched by the pharmacy. Prescription medicines can be cancelled if they have not yet been assessed by a doctor. Returns are only accepted for over-the-counter products in their original unopened and undamaged packaging, within 14 days of dispatch.

What is Cipralex?

Cipralex is a medication that can help treat depressive symptoms, low mood, and feelings of anxiety. What many people may not realise is that it is also highly effective in alleviating hot flushes, night sweats, and the sleep disturbances that can result from these symptoms. These issues are often linked to changes in hormonal balance. Cipralex contains escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant, which works by increasing the level of serotonin in the brain. This can help regulate body temperature, improve mood, and reduce anxiety. It is hormone-free and does not interfere with your hormonal balance.

What can you expect from Cipralex?

When should I use Cipralex?

Cipralex is taken once daily at a consistent time. The package leaflet contains all the necessary information about this medication. Be sure to read the leaflet before starting treatment.

For which symptoms is Cipralex used?

Low mood (depressive symptoms)
Anxiety or nervousness
Irritability
Concentration difficulties and brain fog
Forgetfulness
Hot flushes/night sweats
Heart palpitations

It may also help improve sleep problems.

Do not use Cipralex if you:

Are allergic to escitalopram or any of the other ingredients
Are taking medications such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors) or pimozide
Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless advised otherwise by your prescribing doctor
Have heart rhythm problems or are taking heart medication
Suffer from uncontrolled epilepsy

Inform your prescribing doctor if you are taking other medications, as escitalopram can interact with other substances.

You may drive if you do not experience side effects such as drowsiness or dizziness. If you do experience these symptoms, it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery.

Possible side effects of Cipralex

Common (affecting more than 1 in 10 people):

Nausea
Headache

Sometimes (affecting 1 in 10 to 1 in 100 people):

Drowsiness, insomnia, dizziness
Dry mouth, sweating, diarrhoea, or constipation

Rare (affecting fewer than 1 in 1,000 people):

Irregular heartbeat, seizures (epileptic attack)

In rare cases, these side effects can lead to serious complications, such as heart rhythm disturbances or an allergic reaction. Always contact a doctor immediately if you experience such symptoms.
