What is CagriSema?

CagriSema is a new medication administered via subcutaneous injection for the treatment of overweight and obesity. It contains two active ingredients: semaglutide and cagrilintide. This medication is designed to help reduce appetite, lower food intake, and support weight loss. Studies are also investigating its effects on blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes. At present, the medication remains in the clinical research phase and has not been approved or made available within the European Union.
