It is applied as a spray to the skin, where the hormone is absorbed.
Research indicates that women who begin hormone therapy, such as Lenzetto, at the appropriate time and continue its use for several years during menopause may experience a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, dementia, osteoporosis, and overall mortality. For women with a uterus, the addition of progesterone/progestogen is necessary to prevent unwanted thickening of the uterine lining. This medication is available by prescription only.
