I believe that menopause is an undertreated condition. Many women are struggling to manage bothersome symptoms and that's a shame, because there are effective treatments available.
Dr. Knauff: “Menopause is a natural life transition experienced by half the world's population. It can cause a wide range of symptoms, affecting women both physically and mentally. Changes to hormones can have a huge impact on how women feel and function during this stage of life. Unfortunately, many healthcare professionals are not sufficiently aware of the potential consequences of hormonal imbalances.
All the more reason why scientific information and menopause care should be more accessible. Sadly, many women believe they have no choice but to ‘live with it’. Or they are misdiagnosed or not taken seriously by doctors or healthcare practitioners. While the truth is that many symptoms can be alleviated and risks reduced through lifestyle adjustments, supplements or hormonal and non-hormonal treatments. With the right support, women can turn this stage of life into one of strength and good health, and embrace a future full of energy and well-being.”
