Suzanne Rouhard is an orthomolecular and hormone therapist specialised in menopause care. She empowers women to navigate this life stage with greater ease and vitality.
I encourage women to take a long hard look at their lifestyle and to make changes where necessary. I believe a healthy lifestyle is the foundation for good health.
Basic medical knowledge, post-bachelor Nutrition Expert, post-bachelor Hormone Coach, Orthomolecular Therapist according to kPNI (clinical psychoneuroimmunology), Civas programme Menopause and Diet.
After working in pharmacies and the food and pharmaceutical industry for 20 years and completing various training courses, Suzanne set up her own practice as a hormone therapist in 2019.
She lives with her husband John and daughter Yenthe in Almere, the Netherlands, where her practice is also located. From here, she provides guidance to menopausal women to set them on the path to good health and a better quality of life.
Suzanne enjoys reading, cycling, sports and spending time in nature, especially with her dog Borris. Like many of her friends, she is going through the transition phase we call perimenopause, so she knows exactly what you're experiencing.
Orthomolecular medicine is a new form of medicine that uses naturally occurring substances to promote optimal health. Regular treatment can, in almost all cases, be supplemented with orthomolecular treatment. Orthomolecular medicine focuses on lifestyle and specifically on nutrition.
Behaviour, exercise and relaxation are also important components of orthomolecular medicine. Essential nutrients are supplied to the body's biochemistry through dietary supplements, for example to correct deficiencies or hormonal imbalances.
Support your health during your menopausal journey. Find supplements that help navigate the transition with greater ease and vitality, or get advice from a doctor on prescription medications and hormone therapy.
Up to the age of 40, your body takes care of you. After 40, it's your job to take care of your body.
During and after the time Suzanne was pregnant with her daughter Yenthe, 15 years ago, she started having hormonal problems herself. After doing a lot of research, she discovered there is plenty you can do to influence your hormones and thus your health.
The benefits were so overwhelming that she wanted to share them to help women going through the same thing. Now, 15 years later, she sees women in her practice every day who, with the right tools in hand, are able to take charge of their hormones and their bodies.
