- You use Evorel patches once or twice a week, depending on the dosage and your doctor’s prescription.
- Evorel 50 mcg: usually 1–2× per week
- Evorel 75 mcg: usually 2× per week
- Apply the patch to the lower abdomen, buttock, or hip. Rotate the application site to avoid skin irritation.
- If you have a uterus, you will usually be prescribed a progestogen to keep the uterine lining healthy.

Do not use Evorel patches if you:
- Have (or have had) breast cancer or another hormone-sensitive tumour
- Have (or have had) an oestrogen-dependent tumour
- Have unexplained vaginal bleeding
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have (or have had) a blood clot (thrombosis), such as deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, or have previously had a heart attack or stroke
- Are allergic to estradiol or any of the excipients
- Have an active liver disease

Consult the doctor prescribing Evorel if you are taking other medications. Some substances, such as carbamazepine, phenytoin, rifampicin, nevirapine, or St. John's wort, may affect its efficacy.
