Q: What is a consultation and how does it work?

During the consultation, you will complete a comprehensive medical questionnaire. You can also state your preferred type of treatment. Based on your answers, a doctor will prepare a treatment plan for you within 48 hours. If you approve this plan, a pharmacy will dispatch the products to your home within 3 days.

Q: How long will it take to receive my order?

Our partner pharmacies will dispatch your order within 3 days. You can then typically start your treatment straight away.

Q: Are there delivery charges?

For prescription medicines, delivery is included in the price. For over-the-counter products, there is a delivery charge of £ 4.21. We offer free delivery on orders over £4 0. If your order includes both, delivery is free.

Q: Can I change, cancel or return my order?

Unfortunately, once an order has been placed, it cannot be changed . If you have ordered the wrong product, or wish to change or cancel your order, please contact our customer service team immediately. Over-the-counter products can only be cancelled if they have not yet been prepared or dispatched by the pharmacy. Prescription medicines can be cancelled if they have not yet been assessed by a doctor. Returns are only accepted for over-the-counter products in their original unopened and undamaged packaging, within 14 days of dispatch.

What is the Silex® One-Step Menopause Test?

The average woman stops menstruating around the age of 51 (menopause). However, hormonal changes often begin much earlier (pre-menopause). These hormonal changes can cause menopausal symptoms, which vary greatly between individuals. Some women may notice symptoms as early as their 40s, or even earlier in rare cases, while others may experience little to no noticeable changes.

The Silex® One-Step Menopause Test provides an initial indication of whether menopause may have started, regardless of whether you are experiencing symptoms.

The test works using a urine sample, similar to a pregnancy test. Silex® detects the presence of FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone). This hormone is typically elevated in urine during perimenopause, the first official phase of menopause, during which menstrual patterns begin to change.

A positive result indicates that this hormone has been detected in your urine and that menopause has likely begun.

How do I use the Silex® One-Step Menopause Test?

The Silex® One-Step Menopause Test is simple to use. Please ensure you read the instructions carefully before use and follow all guidelines. The general steps for using this self-test are as follows:

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and rinse with clean, lukewarm water.

Open the box and remove the pouch. Open the pouch and take out the test.

Remove the cap to expose the absorbent tip.

Hold the test by the thumb grip, ensuring the absorbent tip is pointing downward. Urinate directly onto the absorbent tip until it is fully wet. This should take at least 3 seconds. Note: Avoid urinating on the display window.

Replace the cap and place the test on a flat surface with the display window facing upward. Wait until pink lines appear and read the result after 5 minutes. Do not read the result after 10 minutes.

Interpret the result based on the control line (C) and the test line (T):

Positive: Two lines appear (C and T).
Negative: Only one line appears at C, or two lines appear with T lighter than C.
Invalid: No line appears at C, regardless of whether a line is visible at T. In this case, perform a new test.

When should you not use Meno-Check®?

The use of birth control pills or an intrauterine device (IUD) can affect hormone levels. Hormonal contraceptives containing oestrogen and progestin suppress the rise in FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone), meaning the Silex® One-Step Menopause Test cannot provide a conclusive result.

With hormonal contraceptives containing only progestin, FSH levels may also be suppressed.
